Many thanks to all delegates who met with us and visited our stand at INTERPACK in May.
IRIS was one of the 2,700 exhibitors at the recent international trade fair for packaging and processes, INTERPACK. Held in Dusseldorf, Germany, 12-18 May, the event saw over 166,000 delegates from 60 nations.
IRIS exhibited results from an ongoing project, WHEYLAYER. The project aims to develop a whey protein-coated plastic film, which will enable currently used synthetic oxygen-barrier layers to be replaced with whey protein thereby replacing expensive polymers and increasing recyclability, During the seven day event, the company also presented its ‘Maxi Use’ brand, an initiative to reduce waste by recycling and reusing by-products from various agro-food processing activities to produce green packaging. For further information about WHEYLAYER and Maxi Use, please contact Elodie Bugnicourt: ebugnicourt@iris.cat.
The commercial team at IRIS was also at the exhibition in order to tap into the opportunities of offering contract research services to the packaging value chain, especially in the context of novel treatments for sterilisation, and advanced quality control solutions. IRIS is currently pursuing numerous valuable leads both in Europe and Asia opened at INTERPACK. For more information about the R&D and advanced engineering services offered by IRIS, please contact Ismael Almazan: ialmazan@iris.cat
All in all, a successful exhibition!
